Copyright protects the expression of an idea and not the idea itself. For example, an idea for a board game would not be protected by copyright, but the form of expression in the written rules and playing instructions would be protected as a literary work.
Factual information (such as historical facts and news) is considered
to be in the public domain. The expression of factual information, in the form of a
web page or transcript, for example, is protected by copyright. Copyright rules that apply to conventional media also apply to the Internet.
Submitted works are copyright as per the respective donor or
scribe. Archival submissions are referenced accordingly.
Please ensure to read an item's reference details prior to
use. Under no circumstance may the information be sold, electronically
stored, or included in printed material where PAYMENT in any form is necessary.

use is strictly prohibited)
How
to Link to the New South Wales GenWeb
:: Linking
to the NSWGenWeb is easy. Simply paste a text link of the
URL http://www.australiagenweb.org/nsw/;
or copy one of the logos below and paste the URL to the picture's
properties.
|
To select a logo place your mouse over the image and right mouse
click. Select Save Picture As (or the alternative
command in non-IE browsers); save to your computer. The image
will then need to be transferred to your website's server.
When adding the logo to your homepage remember to include a
hyperlink back to the NSWGenWeb Website. Click
Here to download logo images in a single zip file.
Hot
linking is strictly prohibited. Hot linking occurs
when you place an image on your web page by linking directly
to the associated image on this website, instead of saving the
image to the server upon which your homepage resides.
Such action is a violation of this site's bandwidth and
subsequently will not be tolerated. |
Volunteers Note:
New South Wales site content may be copied by
